On 25th October
I
taught class I children to use articles ‘a’ and ‘an’ in English lesson. I used
short video downloaded from the you-tube
to demonstrate lesson using led TV connected
from the laptop. Students could response
correctly the use of articles
after watching clip. ICT integrated lesson really help both teacher and students
to have a different atmosphere. We can show the clip again to make students
understand the concept better.
As an activity students
were presented power point slide with the pictures of things and animals. They
were asked to use article and say a phrase e.g.an elephant, a frog. They could
give the reason of using articles looking at the vowels and consonants. It was
clearly explained in the shown clip.I also type some names of things, animals, persons
on the Microsoft word, where children could view in the led tv. They made
simple sentences using the words listed in the laptop e.g This is a book/This
is an apple.
Lastly through this
module I learned to use ICT facilities with exploration and learning from the
colleagues. ICT played important role in making my teaching interesting
therefore students actively participated in the provided activities. Having
learned to use ICT in lesson I will make sure to continue and teach my students
to explore themselves with well planned lesson.

It's nice to hear that you have potential in using ICT in future. Yes you must use it and encourage your colleagues to follow your steps. I vividly come to know that you have enriching activities with your students. You have used led T.V. and PPT for your lesson. Please try other tools in future to enhance the learning outcomes of our children. Keep it up and explore more in future.
ReplyDeleteIt was a great lesson and you have noticed that integration of ICT has great impact for learners which I strongly support your points.It was also mentioned by different researchers that integration of ICT has great impact for both the learners and teachers as compared with without integration of ICT in lesson.Keep it up and keep exploring more ideas in future too.
ReplyDeleteGood ict integration. Going through your post, I learned one very important strategy from your post(TV). You have made use of available resources meaningfully. In my school I rarely see our teachers using TV for teaching purpose. Good idea madam. Keep it up.
ReplyDeleteWhile going through your post it was found that you have done well integration of ICT for your learners and found that children were very interactive and come up with better understanding of the concept taught through exploration of ICT which clearly indicates that integration of ICT has great impact for learners.Keep it up and keep exploring more idaes in future too.

Really you have put innovative idea. Providing hands on practice is more important if learning has to be fruitful. It is really good idea to engage them practically. I love your idea. Keep it up.
