Teaching through nursery rhymes (animals )

On 19/09/2019  Thursday I taught domestic and wild animals through rhymes in class I B English.I downloaded short clip related to my topic in order to motivate children in better learning.They were found enjoying the song with the caption below.Children could remember the spellings of animals names as well as the sentences.With the provided facilities really benefits younger children in learning by watching real things.

I could engage my children actively during my lesson.Using  the clip children described well about the foods, color, size,and homes of animals.They could create the song drawing other animals with caption.For example What do you see? I  see a fish/ frog.Children learn to write parallel sentences using different animals and sing a song.They also improve in drawing,spelling and  handwriting.

We can teach the process of writing letters and sounds of letters.Using the downloaded clips we can revise the lesson especially reading out simple words and naming the pictures.

Reflection of my ICT lesson on the topic 'vegetables'

On 13 th  September  I tried to use the power point presentation with simulation on the topic 'vegetable' in class I English.I listed the names of vegetables as per the different parts that we eat.I also tried to use simulation to grasp attention of children.They could read the names of vegetables.I was happy to see that my students reading the sentences when appeared on the screen.While planning lesson I also learned how to insert the short clip in the slide.At the same time students could also view the names of vegetables from the clip inserted.As follow up activity students could draw vegetables with names and appropriate colors. Through the  clip  we could teach correct shapes and colors of vegetables or other things.Moreover we can revise the lesson easily with prepared presentation.Also we make use of facilities provided by the government effectively as well as upgrading ourselves professionally.

In other hand I could not use the LED as I had little knowledge on connecting with HDMI.The letter size was bit small where I made children to sit near the laptop.I made sure everyone see by asking them to read out the words from the screen.Since the clip of vegetables was in the drive, I showed again in the LED.

As a teacher our aim is to make children learn meaningfully using effective strategies.So it is in our hand to explore new strategies to make our students understand better and be a productive people in later life.I need to learn how to use LED with connection to laptop,so that my children enjoy the lesson viewing bigger letters and clips.
