Information and Communication Technology (ICT) helps facilitate the transaction between producers and users by keeping the students updated and enhancing teachers capacity.It helps to develop pupil's thinking in a range of different ways in reasoning,understanding and creativity.It is important in Primary Education because it enables children to search for the information they need and to organize what they have found.Integrating technology in education helps students stay engaged and be more responsible.
ICT Integration in my Classroom
I use mobile,laptop and LCD TV screen to present my English lesson in Pre Primary and class one.Mostly I use my mobile and laptop to teach the letter sounds with internet connection from the you tube.I also download different clips and present using LCD TV with the help of drive.Students were found enjoying the lesson watching clips.Children learn better singing along and reading letters from the clips.The lesson completes on time even though it consumes time in planning.For the benefit of children to learn better and make our class lively ICT plays important role.
I am looking forward to integrate ICT in my teaching subject by learning from friends with interest.

Teaching letter sound is a good idea you used to teach using ICT. That will help to have correct sound for each word.
ReplyDeleteYou did a good job by using mobile, laptop and projector in your class. This is how we should slowly shift our method from just using text and chalkboard to digital world. At the same time you also need to be cautious about the clips that you use from YouTube and need to keep in mi d about the time management. Our children would engross them selves with ict and they would never look back if proper guidance is not given. Keep it up!!!

Yes I agree with you madam. It is better teaching the phonetic through ICT since we are not that much abreast with it. Through ICT children enjoy the lesson as well as they learn too. So keep going.
